SPOILER DISCUSSION
1.I find it funny that Krisha calls her boyfriend and tells him that he’s dead to her. It demonstrates the issue with addicts in that they can’t take responsibility, but also highlights the importance of support networks. Given what I saw, I don’t know if Krisha having a boyfriend to call during the events of her stay would have helped. Maybe it would’ve, maybe it wouldn’t.
2. The bathroom scene between Robyn and Krisha had me on the near verge of tears with how many raw emotional nerves it managed to hit. You can feel the genuine love between the sisters, but there’s this awful tragic element because it feels almost like a foregone conclusion that Krisha can’t change. That feeling only becomes worse when the editing shows her immediately squandering her sister’s pleas with more alcohol. It’s a sad story that’s just too commonplace.
