SPOILER DISCUSSION
1.Out of all the unacceptable stupid decisions the characters make, the most egregious has to be when Lonnie (Robert Longstreet), Allyson, and Cameron (Dylan Arnold) decide to split-up to investigate the Myers household despite knowing what he’s capable of. It’s impossible to believe because the film sets up that Lonnie is so emotionally damaged from an encounter with Michael that lasted for 5 seconds 40 years go that he still hangs out with fellow survivors of the attack.
His decision to go in alone is purely incomprehensible. To add insult to injury, the group definitely had the time to go and inform the rest of the Haddonfield citizenry of their deduction regarding Michael’s default patterns. They literally choose to not do that in order to trap Michael in the house and presumably kill him? What? The plan is only salvaged through Rise of Skywalker levels of plot convenience as Karen somehow shows up on location with a gang ready to sneak attack Michael. How?
The sequence of events is just so mind-numbing that it feels close to parody, but the severity with which the film treats the moment makes it apparent this was not the intention.
