1. Given the way Francisca deals with Charlie’s escape, it makes it even harder to believe that she’d let the original mother of her stolen son escape. She’d be on high alert to ensure that her stable family life was never disturbed. Furthermore, given that the mother is both blind and incapable of speaking anymore, it’s hard to imagine her finding a way out and being able to lead someone back to the area. I think I just wanted something more twisted, like teaching her son how to dissect people/the joy of killing or something in a weird familial way, like how Charlie taught her.
