1.Did Alex and his brother not know that not completing the ritual would lead to everyone dying? It seems like all the of the older family members knew, which makes it weird that they’d never tell anyone else. If Alex knew that his family and him would die if Grace made it out, why would he help her out? He couldn’t enjoy the marriage either way. Definitely feels like something they should all know and if they don’t that’s an issue. I feel like that’s one of the first things a parent would tell their child to ensure compliance with the rule.

2.I really thought the ending would be a ruse and it would turn out the ceremony never really did anything. It would have been hilarious but devastating. I was initially let down when it turned out there actually was a curse, but watching the smarmy idiots all turn to goop and then watch Grace laugh at the sheer absurdity of it all made me happy. So I guess I’m sold on the ending. I do wonder if she went to jail at the end though.
